He was born in Opoto, Sonora, Mexico and was a brother to Josefa Dominguez, who was a longtime resident of Rodeo. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and one day suffered an injury that proved deadly. He and others were riding a small railroad car that was used to transport workers back and forth, he and others were horseplaying and he fell off. The car ran over him and broke his spine. He died after being transported to a hospital in El Paso.
