The Walkers
|
My father Melvin Walker, was born in 1914 in Playas, while his father Moses Turnley Walker, was working for
the railroad. My father died in 1948, in Georgia, when I was two and my Grandfather didn't talk about his time
in N.M. He died in 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisana (he was orginally from Louisana). I have some of the pictures
of the adobe house my father was born in and also pictures of a gathering. I did find my dad's eight grade
promotion for the year 1928-29. My dad's mother, Agnes Suggs Walker, died in N.M. but I don't know the year or
where. Could be one of the graves at Steins.
